I pulled my plugs, 1st one was whitish in color, with black soot around the threads.
2nd one was burnt orange with a white tip, black soot on threads, 3rd one burnt orange, black soot on threads.
Now, #1, why are they different, #2 what do the different colors mean?
thanks
-Steve
The thing that comes into my mind when you say an orange color is the coolent. I know that if you have a leak or even a cracked block you plugs will have a tint (green, blue, orange, what ever coolent you are using) to them. If you do have a leak not all the plugs will have this coloring to them. You might want to have have that looked at.

BTW, have fun pulling those passenger plugs.

passenger side isn't that bad for me, only takes about 20-30m for all 3, i've done it some many times.
As for running rich, I believe thats all it is since mt A/F meter is running rich a lot, my wide o2 band on the dyno showed 9, and i am guzzling gas like crazy.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
