• N/A 3.8 V6...Need some SERIOUS search button usage

I know it's quite a leap but I'm leniant to 275 HP as I'll beable to smoke GT's, and 350 as I'll beable to stand to Cobras... It has to be reliable aswell... Well it doesn't have to be reliable as stock but I will need it to get me to and fro... I'm going to do an overhaul so all and any internals that's going to get me between 275 - 350 HP is good... I really don't want to add Nitrous or Boost to the car. I don't like the idea of temporary power with Nitrous and I just don't trust driving a Boost'd car around...
Name what I would have to do to achieve this goal.. Also would a 4.1L stroker kit help?

this is just another one of those "if you have to ask"

to get that kind of N/A power, IMO, your not going to be able to have a reliable DD

Intake and exhaust then rebuild the engine with performance parts.

270 hp isn't really that big of a deal. Heads/Cam will do it.

Yeah I was thinking the exact same, but I was going to beef up the internals and rebiuld the engine anyway... Although I'd be satisfied with 275 HP, I wanted to beable to take on Cobra's and 05 GT's with a good fair chance... N/A... Any other ideas?

I was also going to ask if I should go for the 4.1L stroker kit? I heard that the crank wouldn't support much power... Does the Stroker Kit come with pistons or just Rods and Crank? Can I use the rods from the kit and my stock crank or is that just pointless?

Longer rods on a stock crank does not make a stroker.

Do a search in Advanced Tech. Discussed alot, and there's a new stroker kit coming out soon.

Block off the coolant from entering the TB. Coolant flows into the TB, which then heats up. The hot TB then heats up the incoming air resulting in less power.

If you want more N/A power, ZZPerformance.com sells a stroker kit with lighter internals. It is not suitable for forced induction (nitrous, turbo, SC) but it would be great for an N/A car. The stroker kit, heads, cam, headers, CAI, and some tuning and you will be pushing 300.

3.8L TB coolant bypass: Not suggested in cold weather climate.

You will need a TB gasket and a tube of BLUE RTV silicone.

Remove TB.
(carefull to not damage the MAF screen)
On the back side of TB you will see the PCV hole and the coolant channel. The coolant channel is a crescent shaped crevice. If you look on the manifold you can see the ports where hot coolant flows into the channel then back to the manifold.

Clean the TB coolant channel.

Fill with RTV BLUE silicone. Fill it alomost all the way...tap in in tight with the head of a nail.

Clean off the edges. Allow to cure for 12 or more
hours. (fill it almost all way...I am not sure if you want to block those ports on the manifold entirely so I left a little room...I did not quite fill the channel all the way...I left less than 1/8 un filled.)

This mod reduces the amount of hot coolant entering the TB channel.

You can buy special TB spacers as well...thermal insulation between manifold and TB as well as blocked (reduced?) coolant holes.

check out this page. It is a guide for blocking the PCV (for forced induction) but you can see the back of the TB and the coolant Channel I am talking about. (FIG 1...the red arrow is pointing
to the right side of the channel)

works great.
