  • Goodyear Hi-miler hose and belt

I can't find part numbers for the goodyear hi-miler belt and hose kit. If it is not availible for the 3.8 does anyone else make heavy duty belt and hoses.

    Thanks Jim

Get the Gatorback belt. They make those for our engines.

I just bought myself one 2 days ago, my stock one with 45,000 was actually cracked halfway through in about 4 different places. The Gatorback is very nice and quiet, though i cant tell any difference from the stock one....which was really quiet too.

Simple put a wrench on the tensioner pulley and lean. Slide the old belt of the new one on.

look at the front of the motor next to the alternator, there is a pulley there that doesn't turn anything. It is spring loaded, put a socket on it with a 1/2 inch drive ratchet and push on it in the direction that would make the belt loosen. It's insanely easy once you get a look at what I'm talking about.

There is also a diagram under the hood of your car over the radiator or look in the owners manual under maintenance.

Just get a socket on it and it moves on a pivot away from the belt loosening it.
