I drove my car around tonight and everything was fine. I got home and turn off my car..
I decided to turn it on again for some reason and when i did I noticed that the lights were dim.. I looked down and my RPM's, battery, and electrical things were going nuts.
It would go from 1000 idle to 1300 idle, from 13 V down right below 12..
I waited to see if it would die out but it didnt, it stablized back @ 13V and 1000 rpms.
Was this just a fluke or something..? Maybe i should go try it again.. I felt the plug in he back of the alternator and pressed it in tighter.
(a few weeks ago-- to make a long story short, to fix an antifreeze leak they had to take it off and when they put it back on they didnt plug it in LOL. so i went back and they did it like 10minutes later)
Do you think the plug could be slipping/
3.8L V6 /w 132,000 mi. a lot of miles, time for a new alt.?
