the best gas saver magnet would be to attach one to the kick panel, and a magnet to the top of your foot. make sure they're strong, and attract each other, so your lead foot doesn't get so heavy on the pedal.

in other words, if you wanna save gas keep your foot out of it.

That was the most random, obscure, and pointless comment I've ever heard.

I didn't post this to ask you all how to cut down on fuel consumption. I understand that flooring burns more gas. I understand that Chevy designed the vehicle with many things in mind, and more than likely did the best they could with the fuel delivery system. ALL I was asking is if someone HAS USED ONE BEFORE and had any kind of positive results. Don't have anything to say based on that premise? Don't post anything.

well sorry for speaking my mind.
I didn't know this forum was so judgemental of people looking for information. All I was saying is if you read a question, and have no experience with the given subject, what value is it to post anything at all? People's opinions dont help in such matters because everyone can speculate and hypothesize the outcome with no real basis for comparison.
Perhaps I come to the wrong place for guidance. I apologize.

NO BS ANSWER!!!

ok, i have spent the last 3 months in electicity and electromagnetic classes. remember to read slow or you might get lost.

the ferrous metal would not block the magnetic likes of flux created by the magnet. lets just say a ferrous metal has millions of little magnets in it. when you put a magnet up to it assuming you put the north on the metal all the millions of magnets would align northattracted to south north to south like cuttin a magnet in half the N and S became a N and SN and S.

so you put the north on the one side and hte south pole are attracted to the north. so the magnet is just made longer with the ferrous metal end now being north since the south poles are lined and attracted to the north pole.

the only thing the ferrous metal would do is possibly weaken the magnetic field.

i think though that fuel lines are aluminum and aluminum is non ferrous. if it were it would corrode due to dissimilar metal corrosion. (the steel being possitive charged (cathode) steels the electrons from the aluminum(anode) and then the aluminum take the electrons from the air or water around it and become aluminum oxide, or oxidided aluminum.

anyways the only thing that would block a magnetic field is one that would cancel it out or a farday cage (drive through a tunnel or in a building and you dont recieve AM signal because of all the rebar in it blocking the electromagnetic waves.)

MY OPINION i think it wouldnt help or it would be a craze somewhere like cool air intakes which we all have because they work. ha ha we would all be robing our refrigerator magnets to get better mileage.

Nobody includeing myself should and an dog it until they try it!!!!!

if heat is the thing that clumps up the gas molecules then cool them down(USE NITROUS)
other than that i dont think the magnetic field can break apart the molecules. you could get the same result in runnin your wires beside it since current flow produces a magnetic field.

I think it would be cool to do at least to find out but its not my money, keep us posted of what your results bring. I try to keep this forum a non BS info based site that when someone want to learn about cars they dont have to read "your an idiot" or see someone calling BS they know nothing about. but hey, im only one guy what can i do againts 5000+ members.

wow thats alot of words several people wont understand.
