  • PCV valve question

When you replace the PCV valve on the 3.8, is it normal for the spring to stick out above the opening when you reinsert it? The valve is seated onto the gasket--I know that for sure. I ask this b/c when I replaced the valve for the first time, the spring WASN'T sticking out when I removed the cover. I went ahead and reinstalled the cover and bolts, albeit after fighting w/the spring a little..

Yeah I remember fighting the spring a little bit to get it on too, you wont have a problem as long as its on the gasket.

yea, you just gotta put some RTV on the plate, push it down, and get some of the threads caught on one of the bolts.

        mine stuck out like 1/3"
