• goodyear poly-v- belt question !

does anyone have any experence with the Goodyear "Gatorback" Poly-V belt. according to goodyear it has a unique diamond-checked surface that allows it to run up to 15 degrees cooler..

If you do a search you will find a bunch of topics on this subject.

I just read a few, I'll sum them up for you:

Yeah, it seems like over all most people who run that belt are happy with it.

I have the gatorback, it makes a pretty loud swooshing noise but i have no complaints, from what I understand there fairly loud belts

when i had my gatorback belt i noticed no extra noise from it as compared to whatever the car came with (not a gatorback) or my current belt (switched because gatorback didnt make one in the size i needed (i have an under drive crank pulley, stock ALT pulley and no AC))

I had my Gatorback put on about a month ago. It makes a pretty noticable noise...sounds supercharger-esque.

Paid $30 roughly with tax at AutoZone.
