    if your doing a complete tune=up... what would be the gain from replacing the coil base and can it actually be done..

      At the base of your coils is the Ignition Module. If your spark plugs and wires are firing without problems, leave the coils and module alone. Unless you are running N20 or a supercharger, you will not benefit from replacing the coil packs or modules.

        you could do new MSD coils for alittle better spark, might pick up 1MPG

        BTW a new ignition mod cost 200-300 bucks !!!!

          If your original module is functioning properly then you prob. won't see an improvement. You should take the time to clean any corrosion you might find on the top of the ICM.
