on the top back portion of the T-top there is a rubber piece (shaped like a C) and it keeps getting wrinkled/deformed when I put the T-tops back on. What am I doing wrong, I follow the way the camaro manual says to put it on so WTF?
BTW, I've had it replaced once already (the rubber) and this new one is getting deformed like hte last one.
I've not had this problem and I am constantly taking the tops in and out. I think what you are talking about is the black part on the top that fits into the center bar track.
That part of the top looks and feels fragile, so I try never to handle / hold that part. In fact, the only parts I touch to move the top around are the side with the handle and the interior side of the glass. This creates fingerprints, of course, but on the other hand, I've not had problems with the seals.
How are you putting the top in? I keep it at a ~25- 30 degree angle until it is seated in the track, lower it and push it in the remaining 1/4 - 1/2 inch.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
