  • About the SES

    a FYI

I read the camaro manual at work the other day (extremely bored and decided to read it) and in fact we have two lights:

    Service Engine Soon (SES)
    and
    Service Engine (SE)

The SES light signifies that there is something emission related wrong with the vehicle and the other light is for anything non-emission related. Weird eh? but that's what GM says

oh btw, in case no one knew, the check gauges light misspells gauges and calls it gages. Don't beleive me? Check any GM vehicle. THought it was cool

I only got 1 light on so far, but it was for a stupid mistake (didn't close the hatch all the way. The car died and everything and wouldn't start again until I closed the hatch all the way. The check 'gages' light came on until I closed it.

as for the check 'gages'. that's a trip, i didn't even snap until you posted this (went outside of the office here to check it. lol).
and its true. hrmm. Must be the canadian spelling or something ;)

have you ever gotton the check gages light because of the hatch being open? i found it kind of ****ty because the car just basically shut off @ the stop sign by my house.

i was like "damn, don't break already... i've only had you for a few days (it was the day that my car got broken into also, so i wasn't in the best of moods..)
