getting ported heads off a bonneville

im getting ported heads off of a bonneville... i talked to a friend and he said i would also need a maft+ box too.... first of all how much will it cost to get the heads installed and where can i get the box cheap... should i take off my JET PCM if i do this? Thanks!

are they from a series II? If from a series I, probably will not fit then.

Teal99-

you can only use heads off of a NON supercharged 3800 series II.

The heads from a supercharged 3800 II have injector bosses in the heads instead of in the intake manifold.

Double check your compatibility before you spend any money.

i'm getting it free.. my friend works at a dealership and he got it for free off a bonneville with bottom end problems... Turns out that it isnt ported though.. the tech at the dealership ported this 2.4l head..
i want to get it ported or port it myself.. I might send it out to someone on the forum who can port it.

just check for machine shops in your area; most places won't charge more than 100 a head for a decent 3 angle job.

if you're getting them for free, consider yourself lucky.
