Started the car up this morning and it started to idle pretty hard. The SES light came on and just kept flashing. It also would shake whenever i slowed down to stop. Well, it eventually stopped but the SES light stayed on. I read about people's similar problems and how i should check the throttle body and such along with replacing spark plugs. Since it isnt idling like it was, it will be hard to tell what fixes the problem. Even though it's not still doing it, I'm just worried that it happened, the car was too expenseive to have serious problems Would it be a good idea to just get a diagnostic done for now?

If it was a 3.4 id say thats fairly normal. Mine idles kinda rough at cold start-up not so much to trigger ses light but kinda rough, misses on two cylinders but run great when warmed up. However seeing you have a 99 firebird, I assume you have a 3.8 and for your problem I have no clue. Might take it to autozone or a shop of some sort to get the codes scanned to see which cylinder is misfiring. If the SES light blinks then the computer has detected a miss in one or more cylinders and will tell you which one with the codes. After that you can inspect that cylinder for damaged plug, plug wire etc.1995 Arctic White Camaro. 3.4L/A4

\"Stupid men make mistakes, wise men learn from mistakes\"
