spark plug wire size question

simple question---

one of my spark plug wires keeps frying on the exhaust manifold- as you may know, spark plug wires come in packages of 6... it sucks when you have to buy a package of 6 for just 1...

if this ever happened to me again, would there be a problem if i took a different size spark plug wire i didn't use on that 1 wire that burns up?

You can buy single length wires at Autozone for a few bucks. They vary depending on length and boot style.
