BTW, there are no heads availible for our cars, I think someone was working to get a set of grand am 3400 (series III? I know series II don't fit) to work on a rwd camaro but was having torubles with exhasut manifolds hooking up.

sorry to flame you man, but please get your info straight before you go spewing it.

#1) the Gen III heads ARE MADE FOR THE 3.4. they are simply used on the Grand am (3400) cause the 3.4 rwd no longer is used in any cars. its completely workable in any 2.8,3.1,3.4 - in fact the Gen II heads and Gen I heads (which we have on our cars believe it or not) all fit the 2.8/3.1/3.4

#2) there is no trouble fitting the exhaust up. one of the bolt holes has to be notched, (turned into a U instead of an O so that the bolt hole can be anywhere up or down..no loss of clamping force there) and thats it. not a huge deal. requires a jigsaw. thats it.

the rest of it, well its just creative routing. the only only REAL obstacle to any of that. is the fact that the combustion chamber size shrinks in the head. so therefore your CR will go up. from 9.0:1 to 12.5:1. and i dont wanna have to run 101 octane.

anyway. please -- im not mad or anything. just make sure you read all teh facts and ask and stuff.

and everyone else: if you need to know any info about heads for the 3.4 come talk to me first. i dont mind the mail or the IM's. both my email address AND AIM id are in my profile and i have done a lot of research and purchasing of parts. feel free to ask me any questions you want.

I've had my ASP pullies for 3 years with no problems.

The CAM is only as good as the supporting components. I did CAM and Rockers and feel that there was not much gain, at least SOTP but you need to do heads and intake work as well along with PCM programming to get the full effect.
