  • timing chain ,clogged cat or other?

    with in the past week i have driven my car i have noticed it was picking up more "intake sound" at first i thought teh cone filter i had on my stock elbow fell off to make the louder sound. through out the week it got progressivly worse by friday it sounded HORRIBLE and i had hardly any power it starts good idles good and low RPMs you dont notice the sound at all what kinda problem am i lookin at and how hard to fix it?

    sounds like a clogged cat to me. go to the tips and feel the exhaust coming out. either way just go and get an aftermarket high flow, it's cheap and adds performance [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

      i was just thinkin bout gutting it... cheaper seeing as i have no job...
      and what not ....and i gotta tighten down my elbow to filer piece to

      and get new air pipe and pcv valve or whatever

        ehh wasnt the cat that was clogged it was the pipe behind it clogged with a piece of the cat.. it just fell apart so i removed the loose and such so it runs alot better now [img]smile.gif[/img] thanks
