I have a 94 v6 firebird. My car was overheating so I took it to the shop. When I got the car back the temperature gauge would go to the middle and just a bit over between 1/2 and 3/4. What is the normal reading for these cars??? 1/3, 1/2 ???? I took the car back to the shop and the dude said that he thinks there is "air" in the radiator, thats why the temp went up. What are the most common reasons why these cars temp goes up?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

1/2 i guess. i dont know what 94 temp gauges look like. it should be 210 or below. did you get you coolant changed the first time? cause he should have bled the system the first time. an air bubble would do it. other things are bad thermo, bad coolant, like sludgy coolant. ummmm...... and just the normal hot day in traffic will make your car run alittle warmer than normal
