For the price, I was thinking my next mod would either be throw on some ceramic coated pacesetters or get a HPP3. Any opinions on this?

I would get headers, the HPP3 doesnt work righton our cars.1999 Pontiac Trans Am M6 Far from stock.....

If those are the only two choices, then I would go with headers and then the HPP3. However, before I would put on headers, I would get a high flow cat if you don't have one already.
The HPP3 has worked okay for me.2001 Camaro M5 Coupe(1 of 2,737), no options, Whisper Lid, K&N Air Filter, Free Ram Air, MAFS Screen removed, SLP Manual Fan Switch, 160 thermo, DEE\'s T/B Spacer, EGR Block-off plate, IAT resistor, CAI to EGR air feed, B&M Ripper Shifter, SLP Replacement Grill, T/A Exhaust, SLP five spoke take-off wheels, BMR strut-tower brace, BMR Tunnel Brace, BMR 32/21 front & rear sway bars with poly, BMR Poly/Combo Rear Control Arms, Clear front & rear corners, HPP3 modified 87 Octane program.
http://www.cardomain.com/id/red2k1

Since we've got the tubular manifolds already, I don't think you'll see much of a gain with the headers. I like the options my HPP3 has, but I've never been to the dyno to verify any numbers.
I think you'll be happier with the HPP3 CAMAROS

That is just his opinion... remember that.
I have dyno proof it works well on my car.

I probably will go for headers...if nothing else then i'll atleast have bragging rights. Any reason you think I should get the cat before the headers Red2k1? And I've seen a lot of people talking about a maft+ in other posts. What exactly is that? Maybe i know what it is and just dont know the name or something....who knows. Also, you said you had dyno proven gains...could you tell me what you gained? That would help out a lot. Thanks anyway for your replies.

Those are nice numbers...nice enough to make me reconsider what mod i want to do next...I was also pleased to see a dyno run with the borla closed and open...because I have that exhaust...glad to see gains with it open :D
Thanks for the #'s
Oh and one more thing...how does the powerprogrammer work with headers? I heard its mainly just for minor exhaust work...thats what the people at hypertech told me anyway...any ideas on that one? ThanksShawn
2002 Silver W68 Firebird

I don't have dyno numbers with the headers yet so I can't give any accurate answers for that question. I will have dyno numbers in the spring when I have another dyno session with Hypertech. I will post the results when the event happens.
The HPP3 was designed for stock/near stock vehicles in mind. The A/F curves they program into the programmer is based on stock vehicles. When you make exhaust, intake, and/or internal motor modifications, you just changed the A/F curves. In some instances, the HPP3 A/F curves will not be compatible with your A/F needs.
