  • window motor? or electrical problem?

my window motor seems to be going at normal speed, but it'll stop, and i'll have to wait a min before it will finish. someone said if it was slow and stopped halfway its the motor, but if it's normal speed, it could be the switches or connectors. i really don't want to spend $60 on a motor if that's not the problem. has anyone replaced the motor on these symptoms and have it still not work? is there anyway to tell if its definitly the motor? thanks

if it were the faulty wiring it would either: slowly be going out (meaning the window would alternate between going slow and going fast) or it wouldn't work at all. i had the same prob you are having...it's the motor and you're going to have to replace it. search for a post on how to do it yourself.

Did your windows still go slow for a few tries then speed up. I replaced mine yesterday and it did this for a while. the old one still goes faster. Is this because on is from gm and the other is not?

no, my new one has been fast since i put it in. it's quite a bit faster than the passenger (stock gm) side. i think it's probably going to go out soon.
