Do I need any special tool to get the fuel filter off? I searched and found a post that said I might need one but it wasn't really clear one way or the other.

    I have a 99.

Loosen the nuts and press on the end towards the front of the car with needlenose pliers and it should pop right out. This is the trick I use.

Ok, I saw the two plastic tabs on the filter (front side) that make up the quick release. Those are what I was wondering if I needed a special tool for. I will use the needlenose pliers as suggested.

        Thanks!
