I had the same problem and just replaced it today actually. It cost me $50 for a new one at Advanced Auto Parts.

The window motor problem is a known problem for our cars.

Replaced mine myself several months ago. Drivers side also, same symptoms. Just buy one from Autozone, lifetime warranty. That way if it ever craps out again, it's free :D . There is a guy who's website has install pics, that really helped me out, but I don't remember the address. All you have to do is take off the door panel, drill three holes through door to pop out the rivets on the old motor, and with a little luck and skill, screw the three new bolts with the new motor on. Took me only an hour. Very easy. Do a search for window motors here and camaroz28.com and you should find that dudes site. It shows you several pics that show you where to drill.

Judging by what everyone else paid, I guess he got charged a lot, but my friend just got his driver's side window motor change on his 94 firebird and it cost him $140 with installation.

Blitz....No problem. I have done quite a few of them and have become pretty good.

Heck, mine look like they need to be replaced again....will be the 3rd motor in each door.

                    that's actually a deal

dealer wants $550/door here, and most shops are at $250/door

This is all you need to install a motor. I've got it down to like 30 minutes a door now :D
