The first time I did it I follow the "instructions" and it was a B*TCH! The second time I followed the instructions on the web...drilled 3 holes in my door, drilled out the rivets holding in the motor, swapped the motor and had the door back together in an hour.
Does anyone have the website for the easy to do instruction?Joel
God is my copilot, but Satan has his foot on the gas!
94 3.4L AutoCamaroRagtop w/MSD ignition,Accelcoilpacks,K&N FIPK,BMR SFC&STB,3\"Catco w/3\"catbackSS muffler,JetStage 2,HomemadePIAAheadlightconversion http://www.geocities.com/cardiac1968

ha! doesn't take freaking 30 minutes...MAYBE 5 hours, but don't expect this install to be a sinch. with all the right tools and experience i've had doing this, it would take me roughly 2 hours, but if you have never done it, will not be easy.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335

The first one I did on the passenger side of my son's car took me about 2.5 - 3 hours - but that was because it was the first one. I just did the driver's side this past Saturday, and it took me less than an hour....it\'s lonely out in space...

That's the web site!!!
My first one was "by the book" and took several hours.
If you follow the website and do it as it says, if you take an hour I would be surprised......
Ok, is this a new race catagory, window motor swap? I would definately win.
Seriously, if you run into problems, call me on my cell 713-203-8176...I think I can do it with my eyes closed.....Oh, BTW, use Lock-Tite on the bolts holding the motor in...mine came loose after a while, used LT and it is still on tight.Joel
God is my copilot, but Satan has his foot on the gas!
94 3.4L AutoCamaroRagtop w/MSD ignition,Accelcoilpacks,K&N FIPK,BMR SFC&STB,3\"Catco w/3\"catbackSS muffler,JetStage 2,HomemadePIAAheadlightconversion http://www.geocities.com/cardiac1968

well do it following the instructions. I attempted to do this by myself with my dad in our own way and it was impossible. I got the instructions of that website and it was simple. Took about 1.5 hours or maybe 2 if u take ur time. I had already had the door taken apart before we followed the instructions, so that might take like 30 mins since i had to take off my speaker and stuff. The window works great now, its been a week since i fixed it and i don't regret it. Good luck with ur window.2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6
M6, Magnaflow\'s 14336
C6 Pics

Old car:
1996 Firebird A4
SLP Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow Catback Exhaust
Magnaflow Catalytic Converter

George Mason University
CEIE Major
Pi Kappa Alpha

Firebird Pics

Seriously, if you try to take out the entire unit with guides it takes one long @ss time. But here is what you do.
1. drop window 1-2", Take off door pannel
2. Stick 2 rubber door stops between window wnd inside of door
3. reach in and unplug the motor. While your arm is in the door, feel where the rivets are holding the motor on and put a 1/2" bit on the drill and put a whole in the door inside of course) where the rivets are, the door is fiberglass so you get a lot of dust
4. Once you can see the 3 rivets, put a small drill bit on and drill out the rivets holding the motor on.
5. Pull motor out, put new one in the same place, pretty much falls into place once the teeth match up.
6. Put locktite on the small bolts that came with the motor and bold the motor dow, don't over torque the nuts, they are soft and will strip easily (or do what I did and buy some quality hardware for $1.50)
7. Plug the motor in and connect the window switch and test.....if it works, put the door panel back on.
VIOLA....30 minutes or less .....of course you should always disconnect your battery to prevent damage to other systems in the car, I didn't, your choice, your risk.Joel
God is my copilot, but Satan has his foot on the gas!
94 3.4L AutoCamaroRagtop w/MSD ignition,Accelcoilpacks,K&N FIPK,BMR SFC&STB,3\"Catco w/3\"catbackSS muffler,JetStage 2,HomemadePIAAheadlightconversion http://www.geocities.com/cardiac1968

Exactly. And to further save time you do not have to prop or hold the window up. You are only pulling the motor. The guide and guide plate will hold the window up in it's full position.
The thing that takes the longest time is pulling off and replacing the door panel IMHO and that's only because of getting the door lock back on :)
