i am having a problem rolling my drivers side window down... (manual windows) which i hate.. and when i TRY to lower the window i sounds like something is grinding inside... and it's a PITA to put down.... but sometimes it goes without much problem... ((i guess it depends on its mood)) but putting the window up i NEVER have a problem....
The only thing I can suggest is take your door panel off. Then you should be able to raise and lower the window and see if you can notice whats going on with it. Wish I could help more.
Do you think the weather has something to do with it? Is it harder on hot days then on cold? Maybe all you need is a little lube in some of the joints. Take off the door panel and take a look. Lube all the moving parts. check the glass for any scrapes.

take off the window crank - it requires a special tool to pop out the clip that holds it on, you can get it at a auto parts store (if anybody knows a short cut for this let him know), then unscrew the little plasitc piece behind the side mirror, unscrew the 4 or 5(can't remember) screws holding the door on, lift up on the whole door panel and remove!
When you attempt to pull it off, watch out for the plastic hooks on the back so you don't bend or break them. Thats all I can think of right now. If you've ever thought about replacing the speaker, nows a good time while the panels off. Let me know if you've got any other questions cause i've taken the panels off quite a few times.
