My car randomly has hard starts and I think after searching this forum the fuel pressure regulator is the problem., Where can I buy a new one and what is the part number? How do I replace it? Anyone done it and know what I should do? Thanks for any help.

do our cars have plastic intake manifolds? if they do and the 3.8 engine was made with a glitch and on hot restarts the intake manifold exploded someties from a backfire. to fix the problem they elongaded the crank time so there would be no backfire. my teacher said he knows the engineer who messed up on that one. just dont know if it applies to the 3.8 in the F body.
