OK, ive seen that 12 bolt rears are extremely expensive for our cars so ive been looking for alternatives. So my question is would the rear end from a GMC truck fit on our cars and would it be wise to put on if it does fit? i am pretty sure it would be a close fit since our cars have a pretty wide rear end so im just trying to find out if there is a deffinate answer. thanks.

the S-10's are a alternative, but slightly narrower (your wheels would be like 1/2-1" inside what they are now)
alomst wish that i had gone w/ a 12-bolt. by rebuild ran almost 1/2 the price tag and i still have to replace the worn axle shafts (using moser cometition axles) which are around 300 bones.\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra
-former F-body owner

Whats the application and raceweight? What gear you want to run?
I was able to cut a 1.4 60' on my 10 bolt at a 3050lb raceweight with a 3.42 gear.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP
