concerning locking gas caps....need help

I've been to autozone and discount auto parts today and neither have been able to help me out. Autozone said they had one for my car, but it turned out it wouldnt fit. It did not appear to be defective. The rep came outside and he couldn't get it to fit correctly either. They only had one brand to sell and all I know is the last 5 bar code numbers were: 05504. Discount said that a locking gas cap didnt even exist for my car. I've done a search and found ac delco ones with a number a member posted. I punched in the numbers on the ac delco website and found nothing. I also called all gm dealerships in my area and they all say there is no "locking gas cap replacement". All I need is a part number that will get me what I need. A recommended website would be great as well. I'm not sure the shops in my area know whats goin on. TIA

GM Part Number 22616294. Years ago, it was listed as a "locking gas cap". Check with your local dealer to be sure.

GMPartsDirect.com has it listed for $5.63.

The one from autozone will work...it just requires cutting down the sides of the triangles on both sides....look at the existing cap and you will see what I mean.
