• EVERYONE READ!

GO ahead and lock this if you want mods...

I jsut have noticed alot of "I NEED HELP" or "BROKE SOMETHING" threads, as of now I see 5. Please just give a little bit of a vague idea. Hence my thread "I need some help, wierd vibration" or something like that. Or just rename it "broke a sensor not sure what it is"

It makes it easier to know if I am knowledgable about that problem or not, before I go in a thread. Saying "I BROKE SOMETHING, or I NEED HELP" isn't useful, because just about everyone posting in gen tech is talking about needing help or breaking something.

Thanks, sorry for the hissy fit ;)

Perhaps you should change the title of your post to something more useful. I suggest "Start using better titles: EVERYONE READ!" or something like that. That way I'll have a "vague idea" what this thread will be about instead of always reading the copious threads that begin with "EVERYONE READ!"

Thanks, sorry for the hissy fit ;)

Your sig is the most important part of your message. Make sure that you list EVERY single thing that you have done to your car so that we can all go \'oooh!\' and \'Ah!\'. Please make your sig consistently longer than anything else you post. Please include your lengthy sig with EVERY single post you make during a reply, even if you only reply with a monosyllable grunt.

Maybe your reffering to my last post titled "I broke Something! Please Help "

lol sorry didnt know people would get touchie about something like that.

hmm so lets see would "I broke this little cylinder thing surrouded by rubber that screws into the engine right next to the oil filter. Would someone tell me what it is" been a better title?

I am not trying to single peopel out, alot of peopel do it, Just try to be a little more specific. Like "I broke something on the side of the motor" for all I know you broke your antennae off, snapped a lug nut, radio knob fell off, or you pulled on the toilet paper too hard and ripped the holder off the wall in your bathroom.

            Just a basic description.

Yeah, it's not so much blasting the people that do it. It's just a helpful hint, so a post will be looked at by people that can help.

A lot of times I don't even bother reading a post with a really generic heading, especially if I'm pressed for time and am trying to get caught up on a couple of days of posts...

Just helps get people to look at it (or to skip over it if they don't know anything about it).

P.S. you can always go back and edit your first post in a thread and change the heading of the thread. (that would even include this thread...)
