  • head gaskets for 3.4L

I was going to just do my intake manifold and valve cover gaskets this weekend, but since i'm going that far, i figured why not go for broke and do the head gaskets as well.

What is the best way to clean all the gunk off the cylinder heads, rocker arms, valves etc while i have them off? (i'm asking cause i've got 138,000 miles of road grit and oil on the engine)

Anything to watch out for when doing head gaskets?

I know about the torque to yield bolts and the fact that you only get one shot at tightening them.

When I disassymbled the 2.8, I found that a good supply of GOJO/Fast Orange, selection of bristle & wires brushes, and a bunch of Blue paper towels & red rags.
