i have been reading on here about auto tap and i am wanting to know if anyone knows if there is a scanner that will do all the same things as the auto tap? i would like to but the MAFT+ sometime but want a scanner to monitor stuff but dont have laptop. also I am going to school to be a mechanic(at the present time) so I want a scanner to us on other cars as well. thanks for the help.

I have a generic autotap scanner known as an "x-ray". I got it for $200 at my local shucks autoparts store. You should be able to find similar at your auto-parts stores. Its OBD-II compatible with generic parameters, but it basically does the same thing as the laptop version, just not as pretty.
