Usually a squeak is caused by the indicators on your pads, could be caused by just dust as well. How many miles are on your pads? If it's less than 20k I'd say they are probably still OK. As far as needing your rotors turned; do you have any vibration in the steering wheel if you hit your brakes at high speeds, 65mph? If you don't then your rotors are probably fine as well. They could be grooved but you can check that just by running your finger over the face of them. Some places tell you that just because they don't think you will know any different.

Rust on rotors is common. Mine will rust overnight if it rains or is really humid out. It quickly gets knocked of the rotor face by the pads when I drive it though.

If you are getting a squeak you could replace just your pads, they're not that expensive.

well i replaced my back brakes maby 1k ago but not my front. i was told my fronts looked ok but maby that was some "mumbo jumbo." The jerking is a def yes. do yall think it would be in my best intrest to just go ahead and buy slotted or drilled rotars and get them put on insted of doing this hole rotating busisness? How cost effective would this be? im on a limited budget being 18 with a kid but if its not to much I would like to give it a try. advice requested and appreciated

Stock rotors are all you need. Don't waste your money on slotted/cross drilled rotors they are for looks more than functionality.

Unless you are doing some hardcore autocrossing, this is basically true. I would suggest getting some new pads (Performance Friction) and have the rotors turned and you'll be okay.

yep, theyre a waste of money unless you want the looks. crossdrilled are a compromise for race cars that do a lot of high speed/ hard / frequent braking... they are actually slightly less efficent at one time stops at normal speeds.
