  • what's the difference between series one and series two???

i'm not sure, but didn't the series 1 go from mid 95 to just 96 and since then they've been series II? cause i have a 97 and a series 2. anyway, performance speaking was there any difference between the series 1 and the series 2. if not or if so, what are the big differences between these two engines? thx.

Ok do some search on this topic. But the series 1 was never put in a F-body only the series 2 and the differences are major between them.

Between 93-early 95 the v6 was a 60degree 3.4litre. Then in mid 95 they put the 3.8series 2 in place of the weak 3.4. Series 2 or 2nd gen is only used for the 3.8. The 3.8 itself was reworked in 1990 and did not get called series 2 untill 95 when the new intake was made for it.
