Brakes

In my girlfriend's Honda Accord, the brakes have been acting a little out of the ordinary lately. It is a 93', and recently the brakes won't apply unless you press the brake pretty hard. I was thinking either pads or brake fluid pressure levels. Any ideas?

P.S. No other brake problems noticable.

Maybe they need bled. You've probably got air bubbles in the line which is why your losing pedal pressure.

How much would it cost to get them bled?

I don't know how much someone would charge to bleed them. It's not hard if you wanted to do it yourself.
