  • New O2 Sensor

SES light came on and i took it to a mechanic and he ran it and said O2 is old and isnt heating up b/c of new headers. He turned the light off and then a couple of days latter it came back on. Is this guy correct about this? How much is a new Sensor?

That is a heated O2 sensor. It doesn't use the exhaust gas like the old ones do to get a good signal. The newer O2s have internal heaters to run at optimum temp for an accurate reading.

I had the same problem, guy at the dealer told me that it`s a sensor......he wanted to put a new one for about $250 CDN

I changed the wires and everything is working alright now.
