I just changed the plugs and wires less than 1000 miles ago. car runs fine until you try to accelerate using more than about 1/4 throttle if you do it starts to stumble and back fire at about 2500 and quits around 3000 rpm at which time it throws a p0306 (#6 misfire) code. Question is why just between 2500 and 3000?

If it were a coil pack he would have 2 cyclender misfires not just one. Check the wire and the plug. And did you use Delco Iridium plugs? If not pull them out and get the factory ones. Gm engines don't like plug changes, the dealer would change them out just to rule out the plugs.255/50R16 Tires, Pioneer Deck, Pioneer 4 Way speakers, PPI Amps, JL subs, Spec Stage 3 Clutch, Optima Yellow Top
