left blinker problem...

  • left blinker problem...

    I just had my left brake light go out, and I replaced the bulbs and everything is good, but now when I put my left blinker on, it doesnt blink..it stays down but it stays lit on my dash...it doesnt blink as well...I dont know whats wrong..ive looked at it a few times..could it be a blown fuse?

    Check all the bulbs...one of them might have blown or may not be working properly.

      Nah it wouldn't be a fuse if all the others work, check your blinker fluid.

        ^^haha.

        I had the same problem, check all the wiring. Mine was some bad wiring causing the exact same thing.

          Throw your emergency lights on and then see which one isn't lighting up.

            Usually, if a blinker doesn't blink, and just stays "on", it's the front bulb that's out.

                  thats a negative. the blinker will stay on if a bulb in the taillight goes out. its usually just a bulb.

                      our cars light sockets suck, i have to replace two blinker sockets in the front.

                        Haha, just changed my bulb last week. Trust me, its the blinker bulb. It's kinda difficult to get to from the top, so i just went through the bottem. Dunno if that helps, but it made it alot easier for me.

                          ^^ I 2nd that. Go underneath and take a couple screws loose, and remove the black panels on the corner that the bulb is out on. It's alot easier than trying to get in from under the hood(that is, unless you have really small hands, and you know what they say about people with small hands...... ;)

                            ive changed my bulbs twice and within a week they burn out, the sockets are burned out from what my machanic said, unless u guys are talkin to someone else....

                              Actually, if you want to refrain from losing a nose from your bumper, you could just unbolt the headlight bracket, and slide the headlight out of the way. (MUCH EASIER) This way you won't have to try to squirm under the car, especially if your car is lowered, and you won't have to jack it up, if that's the case.
