Cali smog and O2 sims

I'm getting ready to get the car smogged this weekend, and I was just thinking about whether or not the O2 sims will affect the smog test. Has anyone had any experience relating to this? It's no big deal to hook the O2 back up, but just good info to know.

Why did you use a sim in the first place? If it was because of P0420, it could mean you're putting out too much emissions and won't pass.

I suppose I should've explained the situation in the first place. I had a shelled out cat and yes I had a P0420 code. I already had the sim due to my rear turbo install (which isn't complete yet until I get the smog done first) so I installed it to keep the SES light from coming on. I got a new cat, but never plugged the O2 back in. I was just wondering if the car will pass with the sim or if I need to plug the O2 back up, which isn't a big deal. I was asking basically just for S and G.

Okay....for those of you who are wondering or whatever, just know that an O2 sim has NO EFFECT on smog emissions. My car passed today with flying colors. As long as it's the one after the cat and you have a good catalytic converter. Just FYI
