Anyone having any issues with cooling or charging while using pulleys?
Also, I read somewhere that running an electric waterpump would be better than using the pulleys alone, any truth to this?
Thanks
i guess an electric would be best, to take the hindrance away from the mechanical crankrod.
but electric it has to convert from mechan to electric to mechan i think
i thought underdrive pulleys were to free up mechanical drag will maintaining electrical power.?

probably just your motors going out. common problem with our cars </font>[/QUOTE]Exactly. But the pulleys can cause a voltage drop too. I'd say that the motors are going, and the timing was just uncanny. Or, the drop is accelerating the problem. (Our w/m's die or slow from lack of voltage to the motor)
If you see them start to "skip" or work intermittantly, it's time to yank them and remove the safety strip. (If you don't have children or pets that ride with you)
The voltage should drop down if you are using underdrive for the alternator. Underdrive uses less force so it frees up the motor, I haven't ever heard of it dropping that low that it wants to kill the car.
