  • Temp guage gone wild

alright, this has happened 2 times so far, one day a work, before closing up, i started my car to warm it up, 10-15 min later, i come back and the temp gauge is reading like 240+, i shut the car off, nothing was amiss, no smoke, no over flow,no crazy bubbles on the overflow bottle, and the radiator cap was touchable. turned the car back on like 30 seconds later, temp reads 180ish. happened on the way home from work tonight too, shot up to 240, i pulled over, jumped out, checked under the hood, turned the car back on and it was fine. Could it be just a bad gauge sender?

easy fix, sensor on top of the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing...i hope its the same on your 2.8..should be anyways
