  • wiring on steering wheel

was wondering if anyone has or would know how to hook up other devices to the push switches on the steering wheel for turning things on and off, like lights, radar detector or other things. Didn't know if it was be an easy task or not, but have a little experience and a good friend

For one, this is probably a Stereo/Electronics question, not General Tech.

What switches are you talking about? The radio controls on your steering wheel?

Ah. Like I said, you'll probably want to delete this and start a new thread about this in Stereo/Electronics, or email a mod and have them move it. No one's going to be really interested in answering this question in here.

Technically, this doesn't sound like it would be too hard to do, but first you'll have to find which wires are which behind the head unit.

It sounds more tedious than anything else. I'm sure you could find a steering column and light panel wiring diagram on google or something then just figure out where to splice what.
