How do you adjust the t-tops on a 99? My drivers top is leaking at the front edge of the glass by the drivers window. Water builds up somewhere and then I get a stream that falls on my left knee. After that it just drips. It seems like the gasket around the top is pretty smashed down already. Should I replace it? The passenger side gasket has some form to it when the top is out, but the drivers gasket does not. Its smushed down. By form I mean it kind of springs up when the weight is off it.

You probably need to replace the weather stripping if it doesn't want to bounce back. But if you want to adjust them, here's what I have done, straight from the GM service manual (from memory).

    1) Remove T-top
    2) Take off the A-pillar plastic cover using the phillips screws and pulling retaining clip
    3) Take off the small plastic cover at the back side of the t-top, also using two phillips screws
    4) You will see the bracket that has the holes where the t-top pins insert. They are each held (front and back) with two bolts. You can loosen the bolts and move the brackets in and out to adjust the t-top in and out. If you want to move it up and down, there are shims on the bracket that you remove or add. In your case, I would remove a shim from each bracket to bring it down a little to see if the leak gets better.

Give it a try, and if it doesn't work, you can buy the weather stripping from the dealer or on gmpartsdirect.com for the t-top.

    Good luck!

In addition to adjusting the t-tops, or replacing the weather stripping, try spraying 100% silicone on all weather stripping(doors/windows,t-tops,hatch,hood) It works GREAT! It keeps them super soft and bouncy(will not smash down) I've never had a leak since I've started doing that.(unless the windows are down, or the t-tops were off; hehe.

Many thanks! Tired of it raining inside the car too. Rainy season is upon us in Fl, they say. My first year down here.
