Well i had a freind in the car business and he was looking for a 2000 up pcm for my car and so he says he got a hold of one a 2002 i really need to know if it will work what do i need to look out for and that kind of stuff if you need any more info just ask

I was just thinking and remembered i have the pass 2 key chip in my key if i swap computers is my car gonnna start -
I'm not sure but can I get my hands on that VIN as well? I'm looking to get the HPP3 programmer and I'm hoping to find a 2000+ PCM.
In my honest opinion, I don't think there's much difference between the 99+ because we're all throttle by wire.
As for the PASS-II Key, I don't think it would effect it because the pass II key is seperate from the pcm (not sure).Comment

I did it i swapped the pcm from my 99 to a 00 firebird with the performance package and it works great now im gonna order my hypertech also to make sure can i get the new computer scanned to tell the vin number and stuffComment
