New Sound Comming From Engine

Hey guys im a fairly new member

When i got the car i had a friend who is really goods with cars take a look at my engine becuase it was backfiring really bad. I need a good tune up cause one of the wires was burnt out. He also informed me to get a new tentioner also. I ordered one from the local dealership and am still waiting for it. been like 5 weeks now. Recently in the mornings when i start up my car it sounds like the belt is squealing. The sound doesnt stop untill im just about out of my development. probably about 5 minutes of driving. Do you think this is the tentioner causing the problem and it will stop when i replace it with the new one?

that is possable. also did you look at all the pullies to make sure they all line up straight? i had the same problem and it was my tensioner also. so that and a new belt should do the trick.
