I have stock V6 exhaust right now but I was thinking about getting flowmaster 80 series mufflers with borla tips. Don't know if I should keep the cat or not.

Well for the record, I just bought a Flowmaster 2.5' American Thunder cat-back. It was pretty affordable even though I have heard Borla vs. Flowmaster and I do like the Borla a little bit better... I've got duals set up like so: Rk Sport headers going to 2 12" dynomax bullets going to the h-pipe then through 2 carsound collector inserts then dumping under the car.
