  • Power/Battery Guage problem

I'm having some problems with the power/battery guage on my car. When i start my car and warm it up, the guage keeps fluctuating back and forth and i notice that my daytime running lights are flickering as the guage fluctuates. After the car is warmed up the lights don't flicker anymore, but the guage continues to rock back and forth as i'm driving. At first i thought there might be something wrong with the guage, but i just did a search and found some topics that seems similiar that said it might be the altenator. Does anyone know if this might be the altenator or if its something else and what i can do to fix it?

It's probably your alternator. Especially if the gauge moves with engine rpm... The regulator is shot. But usually strange electrical problems end up being alternator-related.
