just check my fuel pressure and it does not go any lower then 40 psi. Now to get rid of the surging should i replace the coils and wires.
PS. the old owner has bosch plugs in it, should they go.
yes it misses a little when I floor it. The maf screen is still there. the surge will be when I get to any speed and stay there, like 30 mph and the rpms are around 2000 it engine will drop to 1700, then when you hit the gas a little its like the engine is choking, you cant get up to speed with out droping a gear down . It is a auto tranny
I had a comparable issue quite a while back. I ended up doing everything except having the tranny checked out. Unfortunately it was the a4 valve body issue and i neglected it so long I had to have my tranny rebuilt. My car didn't even throw a code until 8-10 months down the road, it was a very slow degradation. If you have issues with surging as soon as the tranny upshifts and you hold the throttle steady you might have the same issue as I did. Good Luck
