there has been debate about running a colder thermostat in cold climates. Ive run a 180* playing it safe. Any of you here actually run your cars all winter in 0* weather with a 160 stat?

I have a 160* in texas and its perfect. I would reccomend 180* though in northern climates. You are fine, there is no advantage for the 160.

I hadnt really planned on going down to a 160, the 180 runs excellent for me. just wanted to see if anybody did have one in a colder climate and experienced any problems because of it.

I had a 160 in SC where the winters are much warmer then PA....I could not get enough heat to come out of the vents...went to the 180 and it was fine
