Ok, here's the best that I can explain what my 98 firebird is doing. Whenver I accelerate or raise my rpm's just revving up, I hear this pretty loud clicking type sound. At first I thought it was transmission or something in that area, but it sounds alot more like it's under my hood. It's not only bothering me from the way it sounds, but I'm scared to drive my car just in case something has gone wrong. Anyone ever experienced this problem? I have non-ceramic coated Pacesetter headers which I guess might have something to do with it and it either got louder when I replaced my gaskets last weekend, or I'm imagining that it got louder.

If it got louder when you replaced your gaskets its probebly an exhaust leak. If your not leaking exhaust then it could be a lifter or a roller rocker that is missing its bearings.
