Before, during or sometimes even after the rain my car just seems to have a hard time lugging. Like my power was just cut in half. It's weird... No SES or anything but after the storm goes away my power returns...

Do your cars feel sluggish right before it's about to rain?

i have yet to drive my car in the rain, but my dirtbike always seemed to run like crap when is was going to rain soon. i would never go raceing if i knew it was going to rain. i just thought it was the humidity or something? no clue though.1998 bright red camaro ,M5 ,Y87 ,stock

Originally posted by Rune:
If it smells like a turd and looks like a turd, chances are its probably not a candy bar.

You guys may need to change your ignition wires...(my girlfriend thinks so too)
Currently about ready to hit a record number of rain here and my car is running great, no problems whatsover.
in "my" opinion... your wire boots are old possible cracked and in high humidity/moisture/rain, its helping the wires arc to the block which is grounded and cutting your ignition power.
Just a thought, my car runs great in the rain, usually have plenty of power having lots of sideways fun -Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251

I may be frikkin nutts but it feels like my car pulls harder in the rain. Thats what made me wonder about using a water injection on a n/a engine but i guess that doesnt work. Maybe the air is thicker i dont know. All i know is my car seems faster in the rain.

generally here in FL when the clouds get really dark outside the temps drop like 10 degrees. I think thats the reason for it.
Just before a BAD storm where its pitch black and lights start kicking on because its to dark, but its still dry out... thats fun to drive in... Bad enough it's going to rain out but for you to go out there and ruin the last few minutes of silence and bring in the storm with your F-Body... :D 1997 Camaro RS W/T-Tops
All Stock / 200 HP
