  • got a cooling question

I was driving home from work today and suddenly my engine started overheating for some weird odd reason. I check and fill up the radiator regularly. Anyways I was driving along and suddenly my service engine soon light turns on and a few seconds later I notice my termistat is reading very very hot nearly 240 F and was wondering if they are related or is there two things wrong with my car. Thanks for all the help

The service engine light and temp are related to the same issue.
