I so far have not seen one but it would be nice to have if they made it. I spoke with Meizere about making an electric waterpump and he sent me back the following:

Meziere - I've read many good things about your electric water pumps, and one good review of a man who put it on his WS6 Firebird Trans-Am. I was curious if you had any intentions of building an electric pump that would fit the 3.8L V6 Firebird/Camaro's? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your interest in our product. Right now our plate is pretty full as far as development of new products. To use an electric pump on that engine the remote is probably all I could offer at this time. Please let me know if you need any info on that.

Jason, you know just because it's leaking doesn't mean you have to even buy a new water pump or get a performance one... Theres a 99% chance that your water pump is still good, it just needs a new gasket. I have a '96 and thought mine was bad, before checking it out i went out and bought a whole new water pump just because I wanted to. My old water pump is in perfect condition but at least i have a new water pump right?

My water pump seemed to have goon sort of gradually. I kept finding little red puddles in the drive way and one day it was a very BIG puddle. Felt around for the weep hole and it was definatly coming from there.

The water pump I got was about $40 if I recall. Pretty easy to change too.

The water pump was the first part I actually changed on my car, I took me 30 mins to do. I wish some of the other problems I have had were that easy to change.

He's right about the water pump, it could just be the gasket leaking instead of the water pump actually going bad. If you have heating/cooling problems and such then it is more of a possibility of a water pump being broken or breaking down.
If you look into the remote mounted water pumps they are the same thing and can be controlled by temp gauges similar to the thermostat that we have in our cars. In fact some companies make it so that their electric remote mounted water pumps use the original cars t-stat to control the temp and regulate the flow of coolant/water through the system just like a regular/original water pump would do except more efficiently and with less stress on the engine. If you want to replace your water pump then check out either the Meizere or CSI brand water pumps. They both sell electric temperature contollers that you can preset from either under the hood or from the driver seat as to what temp to mantain so that the water pump isn't running constantly. Try giving them a call they can instruct you on everything. You can check out some of their products at summit racing or jegs website. I have the CSI one and it hasn't caused any problems since it was installed and then removed due to some old lady hitting the front left driver side of my car while she was doing 40 mph in a parking lot and it screwed up the hoses and such that I had set up as well as a bunch of other things. I just haven't had the time to reinstall it as of yet due to my injuries and such. Hopefully soon I'll be able to get it done. It gives a descent amount of overall performance increase since the engine doesn't have to work as hard and it is using a shorter belt. I would check all your options and go from their, don't just go out and buy a new one when your not positive that your water pump is bad. Unless your looking for improved cooling, performance, etc. Just take it slowly and look at the whole project/picture as to what you want to achieve/do in this situation and what you want to get out of it. If you need any help or have questions then either post or email me. Good luck.
