• it just gets worse! help quick!! plz!!

Well you may or may not remember my oil pressure problems.. but the problem was after a while of driving if you stopped at a light or sign or something w/o you giving it gas the guage would go into the red and the car would stutter and die! well thats not good... we bought a new oil gear because GM said its the oil pump.. but not like a traditional oil pump on all the other cars! so we got to it today, the teeth looked good everything looked great on that gear? we changed it anyway.. we changed the oil sending unit also! if its still doing it, what else could it be?

also can you run a computer code reader thing.. on a car while its started? because my car has a new problem like a jerk jerk jerk chug chug chug thing like its in too high of gear.. we geared down and it didnt help? like its having a hard time running maybe struggeling? any ideas? catalyic converter? or plugs/wires? coil packs? Igniton controll module? its new only like 6months or so!

What about the O2 sensor. Sometimes that will make a car malfunction.
I had a Buick that acted something like that and it was the sensor.
    Just my .02 cents.

yes you can hook a tech to the car running. you use it to monitor the systems on a test drive to try and catch the problem

if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay to do this yourself? i ask because its only 75 buck at my shop to do a diagnosis and that isnt charged if you get service done. its mainly for those who want it diagnosed then take it somewhere else. im just bring up this point because i think your going to spend more than the fee to trying to fix this yourself and not getting it right.

im in Letcher bro!! I wish someone could do something!!

im not sure what else could be causing the problem.. the oil in the engine looked fine.. the headgaskets and heads must be fine.. no blown gaskets! thats good but were thinking now that after we checked my water pump WAS INFACT BAD that it was letting the oil heat up and I was running full synthetic Mobile 1 10-30... so we changed the thermo to a 180 from the 195.. we are changeing and flushing the coolant we changed the water pump.. we are gonna make sure that we can get this fixed! im not sure what else besides thiner oil was the problem and it getting too hot! well were gonna run 10-40 in it.

                any ideas?

ok first of all, you want to change your thermostat from 195 to something lower. Also, there is a sensor on your engine block that senses how hot your oil is and how much you have. It s the sensor that tells your gauge what your pressure is. I would look into that. Its a 15.00 part from autozone. Its possible that the wire it plugs into slipped off. Id go pick up a haynes manual for your car and check with that, its pretty good at telling you whats wrong.
